Coursing through a colourful career of fast paced innovation and incessant ‘privoting’, I learned very early on the only constant in life is change: something I thrive on.

The biggest cause of chronic illness is stress, and one of the biggest causes of stress is work. Stress is a machinist who walks in every day, gets ten things right and never hears a word, and gets one thing wrong and never hears the end of it. Then he / she / them goes home and treats their family like they have been treated.

Organisational stress is caused by people feeling that they’re not appreciated and their primary needs and values are not being met. If we cared about the people whose lives we are privileged to lead, and sent them home each night feeling valued, nourished and supported (we call it loved), we would have much lower health costs and a much healthier and happier human race.

When 88% of people do not feel they’re part of an organisation or community that cares about them, we are manufacturing the healthcare crisis. We are manufacturing depression, disconnection and burn out. We are birthing a new generation of angry, frustrated and unfulfilled humans. And then comes the byproduct; pills, medications, hospital visits and sick leave.
